youth Ministry

Welcome to the Youth Ministry of First Christian Church! The youth program at First Christian Church is a ministry for students in grades 6-12 . Our mission is to train students to Glorify God and Obey Jesus as they GO about their busy lives.  Our goal is to SEEK the lost, EQUIP believers, and SEND disciples. With the Lord's help we seek to carry out this mission by ministering to our students in the following ways (scroll down):

  • Youth Group: Our weekly gathering for Middle School and High School students in grades 6-12 meets on Sunday evenings 6:30-8:30 pm in the youth room!  Each week at Youth Group we study God's Word, have small group time, and play games.  We enjoy serving our community, our country, and our church together on a regular basis.  We also have a great time playing together, whether that's camping, sledding, boating, etc.  Please feel free to join us!
  • Youth Bible Study:  Every Sunday evening from 5:30-6:25 young men and women in grades 6-12 meet for a small group Bible study. We are currently working through "Money Matters for Teens" by Larry Burkett.   This group occasionally plans service projects to do together.
  • Collide Winter Retreat January 17 - 19, 2020.
  • Crossings Camp: This year we will be going back to Crossings Camp in Bagdad, KY from June 29 - July 3, 2020! This year the theme is "I Am Moses:  Do you know the story?"  (Available to students 7th-10th grade).
  • Momentum: July 14-19, 2020 we are taking students in 10th-12th grades to this awesome youth conference in Marion, IN. Registration money is due by March 31.
  • City LifeA powerful one week ministry experience that includes helping with homeless ministries, helping with day camps, work projects, and more.  City Life is offered in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.  Learn what it means to live  "On Mission" with this great opportunity,  This trip is available to high school students.
  • Operation Barnabas: Operation Barnabas is a three week long intense mission trip for students in 10th-12th grades.  We help students that have been accepted into this program to be spiritually prepared and assist them in their fundraising efforts.

Have a wonderful day and go with the Gospel!
